Poolsbrook Canal

A warm day for this November for our walk along the Canal from Poolsbrook to the Veteran Community Hub in Chesterfield. Walking along the canal there was some unusual spooky sights, with it being near to Halloween and even a dog fish!!

There was lots of the usual banter from the veterans, we put the world to rights and solved all the world problems on that walk. If only anyone else was there to listen to our solutions!!   

An unusually warm day for November proved a little too much for some of the veterans who retired a little earlier in the walk at Hollingbrook canal hub to have a nice hot brew.

The rest of the group carried on with the walk to the VCH for a hot drink and a well-deserved piece of cake. We will be looking forward to something nearer to Christmas… look out for details.
