Castleton Walk
On Wednesday 23rd July 2025 a group of our Veterans embarked on a adventurous walk in the Hope Valley, which incorporated the climb up to the famous Mam Tor and along the edge to LoseHill, the weather held, and the views were fantastic, even two RAF Chinooks flew over to make the day for a couple of attendees – so thats how good the weather was. Our veterans regaled stories of past endeavours and reminisced of service life. We eventually headed down off the ridge which played a bit on the old knees for some, but then the carrot on the end of the stick was a bacon or sausage cob with a brew at the now traditional stop of The Adventure Café in Hope, before a low level walk back along the river to Castleton.
