Derbyshire Archery Club
On 11th June 2025 we took 20 members of our Standto Veteran Community to Derbyshire Archery Club near Ripley for a day of instruction, guidance and competition.
From arrival through to completion all the participants were in good spirits, this was enhanced by the a beautiful hot day that even sunscreen seemed not to cope with (factor 50)
Surprisingly range behaviour was good apart from the odd bit of barracking in a effort to distract the more adept shooters. Its a good job the targets were stationary and at times the grass field took some hits, thankfully Agincourt was in the past (1415 ) we don’t think many of our Veterans had the skill set to be deployed back then.
The overall champions were Liam on max score and Steve in the knockout – well done guys.
We’ve notified Robinhood across the border in Notts that there is some new sheriffs men in the making.
