A call to action to make our Derbyshire veteran community feel more supported.
STAND TO DVCS invite you to a conference raising awareness of the challenges faced by, and services available to Derbyshire’s veteran community . We have brought together the primary organisations supporting veterans in and around Derbyshire and invite any services, voluntary groups or employers to attend this free event
There will be 4 sessions throughout the day with the option of 9 different workshops to attend. You can choose to attend for the whole day or alternatively for just the morning or afternoon session.
This event will include workshops on:
- Alcohol and Recovery
- Veteran Community Research Finding
- Counselling & EMDR Within STAND TO
- Veteran Information Point (VIP) & CONNECT Project
- Serving to Civvy: A Veterans Journey
- Veterans’ Lived Experiences
- Op Courage: The Veterans Mental Health & Wellbeing Service
- Project Nova Comes To Derbyshire
- Let’s Talk About Drugs and Alcohol
There will also be an associated market place with stalls from a number of other organisations and groups.
Please join us for what we hope will be an interesting and informative day with a chance to demonstrate our acknowledgement and gratitude of the sacrifices made by our ex armed forces in Derbyshire.
Lunch will be provided
