Echoes of Heros Walk
On 25th May 2023 a group of Standto Veterans, supported by friends and family took part in an organised walk titled “Echoes Of Heroes”. This took place around the town of Swadlincote, South Derbyshire and the group were introduced to the rich history surrounding the town and its association with the Armed Forces, particularly during WW1 and WW2. The walk was organised and led by one of our volunteers Ryan who had researched the information on the area.
Many of the participants came from the Local Standto Mess Group which meets at Swadlincote Fire Station once a month (see our website events calendar for further information, find us on Facebook or call on 01246 959333).
